This is a software productivity suite designed to compete with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint. It's a good substitute for Microsoft office. You can open Word, Excel and Powerpoint files, edit them and save them. One limitation is that Open Office cannot save Office 2007 files in their native format.
